The AgriFI Food Safety is as European Union (EU) funded Programme whose focus is on Food Safety (Sanitary & Phyto-sanitary Standards), Plant and Animal Health guided by Result Areas 2 and 3 as follows:

Result Area 2 that seeks to strengthen the capacities of actors along selected value chains namely Dairy, Horticulture and Aquaculture through the Agricultural, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ATVET) system approach and,

Result Area 3 that seeks to increase the capacity of private sector and County Governments to implement and enforce standards on animal health, food safety and plant health.

The programme is implemented by Micro Entrentreprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT) and the Royal Danish Embassy (DANIDA) through a delegated cooperation agreement to build up on a Strategic Sector Collaboration initiative.  AgriFI food safety has a total budget of 5 million Euros and the implementation period is 5 years (2018 – 2022).
